WALDEMAR ROAD, SW19

A charming Victorian design and build

Bloom were approached to design and build this Victorian terrace project in Wimbledon. The client wanted a side return extension but didn’t want to lose the house’s charm.

The existing structural side and rear wall was propped, demolished and supported on steels and the new party wall built with exposed bricks on the internal face.

Large format sliding doors were installed to the rear.  The dark shaker kitchen was fitted inbetween the existing original fireplace

Designer radiators provide the heating in the property and an engineered wood herringbone floor was installed.

A master ensuite bathroom was formed and the entire house was redecorated throughout.

The combination of herringbone timber, exposed bricks, dark shaker cabinets and marble and oak worktops looks beautiful.

It’s enhanced by the large format glass sliding doors and the brass accents. The original house’s character has been retained too and highlighted by feature wall paper.

“We built the two properties next door to each other at the same time which allowed us to unlock more planning potential than working on each in isolation”
